Volunteers Deliver Gifts To Hospitalized Vets. Some veterans who have to spend the holiday in a hospital received a special delivery Monday that made their holiday brighter. Delivering gifts to veterans in the hospital for the holidays has been a tradition of more than 30 years at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Baltimore, where 77 veterans got a special Christmas Eve delivery from some volunteer elves.

Passerby Sports Body In Inner Harbor. Baltimore City Fire officials have confirmed to 11News that a body was pulled from the Inner Harbor Sunday. City fire crews and police officers were dispatched at 9:30 a.m. after a passerby discovered the floating body near 400 E. Pratt Street. City police, who are investigating the case, have not identified the age or sex of the body.

Wisp Emerges From Bankruptcy With New Owner. As Wisp Resort finally gets some snow for the winter, there’s some extra good news for the winter escape: Maryland’s only ski resort has emerged from bankruptcy. Officials at Wisp announced Friday that the resort has been acquired by a new owner. The Wisp Resort in McHenry said Friday that the Salt Lake City-based Pacific Group will run the business for new owner EPT Ski Properties. The local management team, headed by General Manager Tim Prather, will remain in place.

Teen Spreads Holiday Cheer To Disadvantaged Kids. A 16-year-old girl is spreading holiday cheer to some special families in Carroll County. Alexis Ross is busy wrapping Christmas presents for low-income families that have children with chronic illnesses. “I like working with kids and I want to be a nurse, and I like working with kids that are sick. So, it’s nice to see the families and be able to help them,” Ross said.
