The Midshipmen of the United States Naval Academy won their 11th straight game over the Unites States Military Academy Black Knights by a score of 17-13 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. This was the 113th match up between the two teams in the vaunted Army-Navy football game.

Keenan Reynolds’ last minute,8-yard rushing touchdown, clinched the game and allowed the Midshipmen to take home the Commander-In-Chief’s Trophy.  Navy will take the trophy back to Annapolis for the 13th time since the award began in 1972. Air Force‚ has hosted the trophy for the past two years.

For a while, the win did not seem within grasp as Army led Navy 13-10. They were preparing to score when the drive came to a sudden end on 1st-and-10 at the 14 resulted in a fumble and a Navy recovery.

Vice President Joe Biden was in attendance and cheered for both sides, switching sides at halftime. After the game, he presented the Commander-In-Chief’s trophy to USNA Superintendent, Vice Admiral Michael H. Miller and Commandant, Captain Robert E. Clark II.

In the end there were no losers leaving the field; because in the end, America is the true winner.  Congratulations to Navy on another win.  Two teams, one fight.
