Man, 75, Rescued From Fire In Crownsville.  A two-alarm fire in Anne Arundel County left a 75-year-old man hospitalized, fire officials told 11 News. Firefighters were called shortly before 6:30 p.m. Monday to the 1300 block of Generals Highway in Crownsville, where almost half of a single-family home converted into apartments was on fire.

Police: Big Alligator Found During Drug Bust.  A drug-trafficking investigation in Jessup led officers to discover a 3-foot-long alligator, police said. Animal control officials in Anne Arundel County said the American alligator was taken to a facility for exotic animals. Police said it was living inside the home of Michael Golden, located in the 7500 block of Glen Eagle Drive.

Man Stabbed In Back In Annapolis. Police in Annapolis are investigating a stabbing that happened over the weekend. Officers were called to the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Friday, where they found the victim suffering from a stab wound to the lower back. Detectives said several people approached the victim from behind, and one of those people stabbed him. The motive behind the stabbing is still unclear, and police are still searching for suspects.

Fiery Crash Kills One In Hanover.  Anne Arundel County police said a man was killed early Monday morning during a fiery single-vehicle crash in Hanover. Officers were called to Corporate Center Drive near Old Stoney Run Way around 1 a.m., where they found a car that was fully engulfed in flames that had also been impaled by the guard rail.
