Police Find Vehicle Linked To Fatal Hit And RunAnne Arundel County police said they located the vehicle and possible person involved in a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian in Glen Burnie last week. Officers were called to Mountain Road near Jumpers Hole Road around 7:15 p.m. Nov. 20, where they found an injured pedestrian lying in the road. The victim, John Stewart, 52, of Glen Burnie, was taken to Shock Trauma, where he later died.

Officer: Suicide Led To Wariness About Manning. The former security chief at the Quantico, Va., Marine Corps base said an Army private suspected of leaking U.S. secrets to the WikiLeaks website was kept tightly confined partly because of another prisoner’s suicide. Marine Col. Robert Oltman testified Wednesday at a pretrial hearing for Pfc. Bradley Manning at Fort Meade. Manning’s lawyers are seeking dismissal of all charges, claiming his pretrial confinement in the Quantico brig was excessively harsh.

1 Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Crownsville. Anne Arundel County officials said speed and wet roads were factors in a single-vehicle crash that killed a woman in Crownsville on Tuesday afternoon. Fire and police crews were called to Herald Harbor and Old Herald Harbor roads around 12:30 p.m., where they found a woman in an SUV that had crashed and overturned in the woods. Fire officials said the victim, who was identified late Tuesday as Jennifer Tedore, 22, of Crownsville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
