Man Dragged Girlfriend Through Bonfire.  Anne Arundel County police said a man has been arrested and charged with dragging his girlfriend through a bonfire. Police said a man alerted an officer in in the area of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park at 12:30 p.m. Monday that his 30-year-old female friend was involved in a confrontation with her boyfriend earlier and might need some help.

Crews Battle 2-Alarm Fire In Lake Shore. Crews battled a two-alarm house fire in Anne Arundel County. It happened on the 8300 block of Beachwood Park Road in Lake Shore around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. The residents in the home were able to safely escape. Two adults and one child were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.

Maryland Live! Plans To Hire 1200 More People. The owners of Maryland Live! are considering building a hotel with conference facilities next to the casino, the chairman of the Cordish Compnies said Wednesday. David Cordish said he believes there is a “very good chance” of eventually adding a high-rise hotel. “You’re a little bit ahead of me,” Cordish said when asked by a reporter about it. “You asked are we thinking about it. The answer is absolutely, but I don’t have it definite yet.”

Police Searching For Shooter Who Injured Walmart Employee.  Anne Arundel County police are investigating an armed robbery and shooting that seriously injured a man at a Laurel Walmart store near Route 295. The incident was reported at the store in the 3500 block of Russett Green around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday
