CRTC Accepting Nominations for TechAwards Program

The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council (CRTC) is now accepting nominations for its prestigious 8th Annual TechAwards program, a celebration of technology excellence in the Chesapeake region that recognizes outstanding achievements in the areas of innovation, strategic growth, customer service and leadership.

The CRTC is pleased to announce the CyberCenter at Anne Arundel Community College has stepped up for the second consecutive year as Title Sponsor of the awards, which are open to technology companies, tech professionals and students in Science, Technology Engineering and Math STEM programs located in the Annapolis-Washington-Baltimore region. Nominations are now open through January 7th, 2013 and interested parties can review criteria and submit nominations online at www.chesapeaketech.org/techawards.

The theme for the 8th annual program is Geek is the New Chic. Following on the heels of the CRTC’s 20th Anniversary year, the theme will celebrate the innovative spirit driving the regional technology community. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony event to be held March 14th, 2013 from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport.

In addition to the submitted categories, the Selection Committee comprised of a dozen regional technology experts will appoint Rising Star and Legend’s Circle Award Honorees.

Past winners have included a wide range of companies, from innovative start-ups to well-known industry leaders. Finalists gain high visibility in the region through pre- and post-event marketing and publicity.
