Annapolis Small Business Saturday

Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen is proud to announce this year’s Annapolis Business Association’s Small Business Saturday event.

Members of the MainStreets Annapolis Partnership (MAP) and Annapolis Business Association (ABA) will be at the City’s Pocket Park, 122 Main Street, to celebrate Small Business Saturday, November 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“Saturday is a chance to remind people to shop local,” Mayor Josh Cohen said. “The real benefit of Small Business Saturday is to reaffirm the importance, year-round, of supporting our abundant local merchants that make up our six business districts and to promote the diversity of our products and services.”

The Annapolis Business Association is one of only 100 organizations nationwide awarded a Small Business Saturday Activation Pack from the US Chamber of Commerce. This award includes 200 $25 American Express Shop Small gift cards, 280 tote bags, 50 welcome mats, banners, balloons and posters which will be used on Saturday, November 24th.

“We will give these gift cards to shoppers who make a purchase in three different stores downtown on this day,” said ABA President Sean O’Neill. “Shoppers will simply bring their receipt to the pocket park on Main Street and collect their $25 American Express Shop Small Gift Card. We will start at 11:00 a.m. and go until all the gift cards are gone.”

Representatives from MAP shopping areas, including Eastport, West Street, Maryland Avenue & State Street, and West Annapolis will also be available in the pocket park to offer information and answer questions.
