MdTA Officer Shoots, Kills Pit Bull In PasadenaAnne Arundel County police said an off-duty officer with the Maryland Transportation Authority Police Department shot and killed a pit bull that was attacking him. Officers were called to the area of Vena Lane and Notley Road in Pasadena for a reported aggressive animal at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday.

Police Investigate Two Armed Robberies In Linthicum.  Anne Arundel County police said they are investigating two separate armed robberies in Linthicum. Officers were called to the Motel 6 located at 5179 Raynor Ave. at 7:53 p.m. Saturday. A man and woman told police that after answering a knock on their room’s door, two men wearing camouflage bandannas forced their way into their room. One of the men was armed with a handgun.

Baltimore Orioles Beat New York Yankees 3-2.  The American League Division Series is tied as the Baltimore Orioles beat the New York Yankees Monday night at Camden Yards in yet another one-run game, 3-2.  The AL East champion Yankees drew first blood Sunday night, rallying for five runs in the ninth inning against Orioles closer Jim Johnson en route to a 7-2 triumph in a series opener whose start was delayed nearly 2 1/2 hours by rain.

ALCS Tickets To Go On Sale Today. The Baltimore Orioles announced opportunities to buy tickets to potential upcoming series games. The Orioles announce that American League Championship Series tickets for potential Games 3, 4 and 5 in Baltimore (labeled as Home Games 1, 2 and 3, respectively) will go on sale to the general public Tuesday at 10 a.m. exclusively online at www.orioles.com/postseason. Ticket availability is expected to be limited and tickets may sell out quickly.
