2 Men Face Numerous Drug ChargesAnne Arundel County police said two people were arrested and face drug charges after detectives watched them smoke marijuana in their car. Authorities said detectives watched a car parked in a Shell station lot in the 3900 block of Mountain Road in Pasadena at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Fatal Millersville Crash Under Investigation. Anne Arundel County investigators are trying to determine the cause of a multivehicle fatal crash in Millersville. Authorities said the crash happened at Benfield Boulevard at Veterans Highway around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators said a Ford Expedition and Honda CR-V were stopped for the red light in the left travel lane of eastbound Benfield Boulevard waiting for the light to change to green when the Expedition was suddenly struck in the rear by a Dodge Ram pickup truck for unknown reasons.

BGE Bills Count Rise Yet Again. Gov. Martin O’Malley commissioned a task force to assess Maryland utilities after the June derecho storm that left many customers in the dark for more than a week. On Wednesday, that task force released its report and recommendations. One of them could increase customers’ Baltimore Gas and Electric bills.

Orioles Lose To Rays, Ride Wild Card To Texas. The Baltimore Orioles head to the postseason on a wild card to Texas after losing the last regular season game Wednesday to the Tampa Bay Rays, 4-1. Evan Longoria hit three home runs in the Ray’s victory, ending the Orioles’ bid to force a one-game tiebreaker for the AL East title. The loss on the final day of the regular season left the Orioles as a wild-card team. They’ll play Friday night at Texas, with the winner advancing to the best-of-five division series against the New York Yankees.
