If you’ve been hesitating to join Twitter because you just don’t know how to get started, now’s your chance to learn with the experts. Herrmann Advertising | Branding | Technology has been hosting free “Twitter 101” classes that explore this widely popular social media that allows users to communicate with the world via 140-character messages.
The free sessions are designed to teach individuals the basics of using Twitter for their businesses. The 90-minute classes, which include a light complimentary lunch, provides an overview of the platform’s features, a look at how professionals can take advantage of Twitter’s reach for public relations and business development, and hands-on demonstrations. Attendees learn how to set up an account, choose and attract followers, how to monitor what others are saying about them, and hear real stories about the benefits – and pitfalls – of tweeting to an audience of millions around the globe.
Sessions are held at Herrmann’s Annapolis headquarters at 30 West St. and begin promptly at 12:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required and participants can get more information on upcoming dates and make reservations by calling Stephanie Blank, 410.267.6522, ext. 259, or by emailing [email protected].
Editor’s Note: We attended one of these hour-long classes in September and for a small business looking to get a more firm grasp on Twitter, it is an excellent use of your time! Oh, and follow us on Twitter too! (JWF)
