Free Rabies Vaccinations On Sunday

RabiesOn Sunday, October 7, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Anne Arundel County Animal Control in partnership with Owensville Primary Care and Anne Arundel County Department of Health will be holding a Fall rabies clinic at Owensville Primary Care located at 134 Owensville Road (Route 255) in West River. Volunteers from Muddy Creek Animal Hospital will be on site to administer the vaccinations. Staff members at Owensville Primary Care and representatives from Anne Arundel County Animal Control are collaborating to provide this service.

Maryland state saw requires that all dogs and cats four months of age or older be vaccinated against rabies. Proof of rabies is also a requirement for licensing pets with the county.  All dogs and cats six months of age or older must be licensed through Anne Arundel County Animal Control. There is no charge for this clinic; however, donations are greatly appreciated. Pet owners should bring their animals (dogs) on a leash or keep their cats in carriers.
