Disco Magic For The YWCA

disco ball

disco ballOn Friday, October 26th at 6:30 p.m., the YWCA of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County will host its annual Disco Magic Gala to raise money for programs to assist victims of domestic violence. This year’s exciting event will feature live disco music, signature drinks and dinner, a 50/50 raffle along with live and silent auctions. Guests from around the area will join us for an exhilarating event, unlike any other corporate event, to continue to make a difference in the lives of women and children in our  community.

Executive Director Molly Knipe said, “I am so looking forward to another Disco Magic Gala. Each year we gather to support an  important mission while having a great deal of fun at the same time. Last year, through our special fund a cause, we were able to  raise enough money to renovate the kitchen at Arden House to accommodate the 21 individuals staying with us at any given  time. The renovation is complete and the residents are excited to be cooking in this space.” She continued, “Disco Magic is one of our most fun events and people look forward to the gala every year. It has been a sold out event in the past and we expect the  same this year. We are grateful to our sponsors who make this event possible including lead sponsor Patty McManus and Fred  Sherrill of Generational Planning Solutions at RBC Wealth Management. Other sponsors include: M&T, Purple Cherry  Architects, The Brick Companies, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Severn Savings Bank, the Jody Clark & Gail Colangelo  Charitable Fund, Arinc, Dogwood Acres Pet Retreat, TRACE International, Blumenthal, Delavan & Williams, Hospice of the
Chesapeake, Timothy Brooks, Bank of America, and Tina and Chip Doordan.”

Tickets are on sale now at www.annapolisywca.org  for  $175 each. Please contact Molly Knipe, Executive Director, for event information or sponsorship opportunities at 410.626.7800  or [email protected].
