Annapolis Man Charged With Setting Car On Fire

On October 14, 2012 at 7:52 p.m. the Annapolis Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire at 1005 Timber Creek Dr. The fire was extinguished and the Fire and Explosive Services Unit was dispatched to the scene for origin and cause investigation on the vehicle that was not in operation at the time of the fire.

Investigators determined the cause of the fire was incendiary in nature and began developing information on a suspect. A search warrant was obtained and executed for 1009 Timber Creek Drive. After the search was completed investigators made an arrest and charged Joseph LaScola with Malicious Burning in the First Degree, Malicious Burning in the Second Degree, and Destruction of Property.
