September Is For The Bay

| September 12, 2012, 01:25 PM | 0 Comments

With Labor Day behind us, there is nothing left for Annapolitans to do but to accept the coming of cooler breezes off the Chesapeake Bay and Saturday mornings full of Navy football. However, just because summer is officially over doesn’t mean all the fun is gone! Here are a few ways you can appreciate your September and help the Bay at the same time.

September is the perfect time to enjoy some milder weather with a nice refreshing drink. Join the Chesapeake Bay Trust on Saturday, September 15 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the Harvest Beer Festival at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville, MD. Attendees can sample more than 50 local, national and international beers while they also enjoy live music, a chef prepared food and beer tasting, and a chance to learn more about brewing at home! A portion of proceeds will go to support restoration and environmental education work for the Chesapeake Bay. And as an added bonus, purchase your tickets using promo code CBT and receive a $10 discount off your ticket price!

Looking for an excuse to buy some new fall clothes? Head over to Eddie Bauer at the Annapolis Mall on Saturday, September 15 where 10 percent of all profits will be donated to the Chesapeake Trust in honor of “Eddie Bauer Gives Back” Day. Not only will your shopping help a great cause, we will be there with prizes, giveaways and a chance to win a great decorative canoe! You can also download here a coupon for 15 percent off your purchase.

We all know how much Annapolitans love their Whole Foods shopping trips (I know I do!) so plan to make yours on Wednesday, September 19! The Whole Foods of Annapolis will be donating 5 percent of sales to the Chesapeake Bay Trust to help restoration and environmental education programs in the Chesapeake Bay. Swing by our display table to grab some free giveaways and learn more about the Trust after you purchase all your wonderful fresh groceries.
