Child Playing With Lighter Causes Fire. A child playing with a lighter caused a house fire in Pasadena, Anne Arundel County fire officials said. Firefighters were called at about 10 a.m. Thursday to a duplex on Kings Road, where smoke emanated from the second floor. The fire was contained to a bedroom and was extinguished.

Leopold Faces Another Lawsuit. A female employee on medical leave faces threats of a lawsuit over testimony she gave in an affidavit about Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold and top staffers. Karla Hamner is suing the county claiming sexual harassment by Leopold and wrongful termination, but a female employee on medical leave is now facing threats of a lawsuit for allegations she made in an affidavit about Leopold and some of his other top staff members.

Parking Spot Dispute Leads To Road Rage.  A dispute over a parking space at The Avenue led to a crash involving a pedestrian Friday. Baltimore County police said a woman in a Volkswagen was involved in an argument with a woman who was driving an Oldsmobile. Investigators said the driver of the Oldsmobile was angry because she believed the Volkswagen took a parking space she wanted.

Police Seek Help In Finding Missing 9-Year Old Boy.  Baltimore City police are looking for help in finding a 9-year-old boy who hasn’t been seen since Saturday afternoon. Detectives said Jasaiah Roberts left his home in the 3100 block of East Monument Street around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, and he hasn’t been seen since. Police said the boy is about 4 feet 11 inches tall and about 78 pounds. He was last seen wearing a racewear T-shirt with blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
