Harwood Man Dies After Being Pulled Overboard In Patuxent River.  An Anne Arundel County man crabbing on the Patuxent River has died after his foot got tangled in the line, pulling him overboard. Maryland Natural Resources Police identified the man as Lewis Jack Sprouse, 29, of Harwood. NRP said the line pulled him underwater Sunday morning, striking the boat’s propeller.

Man Killed, 10 Injured When Car Collides With Bus. Police are looking into whether speed played a role in a deadly weekend accident in which a car slammed into an MTA bus and burst into flames. Police said 27-year-old Marcus Anderson was killed after his vehicle crossed the center lane of 8th Avenue in Glen Burnie, colliding head on with a bus in the oncoming lane just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

1 Killed, 1 Injured In Route 50 Crash.  One person was killed and another was flown to Shock Trauma early Monday morning after a crash on Route 50 in Anne Arundel County. The single-vehicle crash happened just before 1 a.m. on the eastbound ramp of Route 50 that connects to West Street near Annapolis.

2 Injured In Annapolis Shooting; Gas Line Struck.  A shooting investigation in Annapolis on Sunday night turned into a hazmat situation when officials became concerned that a bullet struck a gas line. Police were called to the intersection of Medgar Evers Street and Frederick Douglass Street just after 11:30 p.m. for reports of a double shooting.

Funeral Services Planned For Art Modell. Tributes to the man credited with bringing football back to Baltimore went on throughout the weekend, but the biggest one has yet to take place. Art Modell’s funeral is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation. Preparations are under way for a major event.
