Who Is Influential In Annapolis

| August 15, 2012, 08:05 PM | 2 Comments

If you are reading this, you received the “super secret” link because we value your opinion.  We are working on an article of the most influential people in Annapolis and are looking for nominations.

Influence can be defined in any number of ways, but we are looking for the people that make things move and shake in the City. We are also looking for people that others might not know about or consider un-influential. Perhaps they work entirely behind the scenes. Or of course, they may be out in front of everyone as well.  Who makes things happen in this city? Please think out of the box on this–community activist, politician, political operative, street sweeper, cop, meter maid…you get the idea.

Please leave a comment with some names and a few brief words why you feel they are influential. If you prefer, you can send an email.  When we have a final list of names, we will send it out for a vote to determine the most influential. This will not be a public vote, but by invitation only.

The final article will have a brief bio of the “winners” and a summary of why you (collective you) felt they were influential. If they are willing we will interview them as well.

Please understand that we will not disclose your name to anyone as it relates to this project.  Keep in mind, that if you are registered on this site, your name will show up in the comments if you are logged in. If you wish to remain completely anonymous, you can log out and then comment or send over an  email.

This post is hidden and you need the URL to get to it–so it is as private as private can be on the Internet.

Can we county on you for your help?

Thanks-

PS….please feel free to share this link with others who may have an opinion.

  2. I would like to nominate Melissa Huston, co-owner of .
https://www.facebook.com/IntrigueDesigns (Intrigue Designs) Melissa is a “floral artist” who has made many Annapolis brides at ease. I can guarantee her hard work is all behind the scenes- but her finished products can be seen any and everywhere in Maryland. Not only does she bust her hump daily making every brides day special, in her free time she directs shows like the one playing at Annapolis Garden Theatre currently. (Xanadu)
https://www.facebook.com/AnnapolisSummerGardenTheatre She leads the Ghost Tours in Annapolis
https://www.facebook.com/annapolisghosts and when her workday is done she comes home to fight for Maryland Equality by keeping everyone she knows informed on her facebook page. (Melissa is a happily married heterosexual, but feels that it is important that family is defined as who you love regardless of law books.) Although she could make it in ANY big city, we want to keep her and all her awards (The Knot, Webwire, Whats Up Mag etc) right here in her home, Annapolis MD!
