What do chef’s tables, Julia Child’s birthday & school backpacks have in common? They are all celebrated this month at Roundz Gourmet Market! Chef Zachary Pope offers these cool events for a hot August:

100 years of Julia Child – August 15 – Wednesday- 11 AM to 8 PM

Late chef and author Julia Child (1912-2004) was born 100 years ago today. Her two-volume cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking made a complex cuisine more accessible for home cooks, while her popular television cooking shows made her a cultural icon. Celebrate her vision with us on this day with French-inspired menu specials from 11 am to 8 pm, and try your hand at Roundz/Julia trivia. Bon Appetit!

Roundz After Dark – August 18 – Saturday- 7:30 PM

Award-winning Chef Zachary Pope & Chef Robert Brown present 6-courses of haute cuisine for a limited number of guests in this full-sensory dining event. Enjoy an amazing culinary experience while watching top chefs prepare and plate your meal. Chef Zachary Pope will help man the grill at the 11th Annual Oxford Landing Back to School Celebration at the Oxford Landing Community Park off Bywater Road near the Safeway on Forest Drive in Annapolis. This event provides free backpacks and school supplies for children in need. Last year, over 450 well-stocked backpacks were distributed, according to event organizer Raynaldo Brown. The celebration also features a moon bounce, face painting, hot dogs, chips and drinks…all at no charge. Chef’s Table – August 23 – Thursday – 6:30 PM

An intensely personal dining experience created just for you by Chefs Pope and Brown. Only one table is available for a party of 2-10. Guests chat with Chef about their food interests and dietary requirements. From that discussion, Chef creates a 4-course menu uniquely suited for the table. All August Chef’s Table nights have been booked save this one! No worries, we’ve extended our 6:30 Thursday Chef’s Table through September so if you miss this date, you can book for September, but do it quickly! $50 per person. Reservations 443.292.4631
