Police: Student Brought Shotgun, Vodka To Perry Hall High School. As students at Perry Hall High School headed back to the classroom Tuesday, police released more details of the events leading up to the shooting in the school’s cafeteria that critically injured a 17-year-old student and led to charges against a 15-year-old boy.

Disabled Driver Takes On Baltimore Grand Prix. Despite his disability, 19-year-old Michael Johnson prepares to fulfill his dream to race in the Baltimore Grand Prix. When Johnson was 12 years old, he was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident. He said he never felt like giving up and credited his father for being supportive.

Google Picks baltimore County Educator. A Baltimore County School educator is among a select group of people to become Google certified. Pikesville High School library media specialist Joquetta Lynn Johnson is one of about 50 educators from around the world to attend the next Google Teacher Academy in New York City on Oct. 3.

Bay Bridge Reopened After Inspection. The Maryland Transportation Authority said it has reopened the westbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge after inspections closed it early Tuesday morning, causing delays for commuters.  The eastbound span had to run on two-way operations Tuesday morning to accommodate commuters, meaning one lane was opened in each direction. 11 News cameras showed backups on Route 50 by 6 a.m., and they lasted most of the morning.
