Delegate Admits To Drinking Before Boating Accident. State Delegate Don Dwyer during a news conference Thursday afternoon admitted to drinking before a boating accident in Anne Arundel County in which he and six others were injured. Just after 7 p.m. Wednesday, rescue crews with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department were called to Sillery Bay, an estuary of the Magothy River just west of Gibson Island, where they found two boats that had collided.

Anne Arundel Schools Combat Hunger.  A new national report shows how many students show up for school hungry. The report found that three out of five teachers across the nation witness hunger in their classrooms, and that’s why there’s a real push to provide students with meals on campus, both breakfast and lunch.

Police Seek Brooklyn Park Home Invasion RobberAnne Arundel County police said they are looking for a home invasion robber. Officers were called to the 300 block of Hillcrest Avenue in Brooklyn Park after a home invasion report at 10:27 p.m. Wednesday. A man told police an armed man found him in the backyard and forced him inside the home where he forced him at gunpoint to hand over money.

Fans Possibly Exposed To Rabies At Ravens Game. The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is alerting residents to a possible rabies exposure incident at a Ravens football game and wants to remind people to avoid contact with wild animals. A bat reportedly landed on a person sitting in the 500 section of M&T Bank Stadium on Friday during the 8 p.m. game between the Ravens and the Detroit Lions, DHMH officials said.
