Harvest Beer Festival Coming To Homestead Gardens

Homestead Gardens and Katcef Brothers Inc. have teamed with the Chesapeake Bay Trust to again bring Anne Arundel County a one of a kind celebration of autumn.  The event will be held at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville Md. on Saturday September 15 from 2 – 6 pm.  The festival will feature over 15 breweries with more than 40 beer selections from local, national and international breweries.

Harvest Beer Festival is an annual event that promotes the education and knowledge of great beers.  The event allows attendees to sample many different styles of beer from breweries around the world.  Think local, drink global – Harvest Beer Festival celebrates the global acceptance of beer as the number one adult beverage.  There will be several educational seminars explaining all aspects of the history, brewing, production and enjoyment of beer.  You can attend a seminar, or simply grab a beer and some food and listen to local live music.  Neal Katcef, owner of Katcef Brothers stated “We felt that this event was needed in the Annapolis community. We love the idea of promoting local business, supporting the Chesapeake Bay Trust and increasing consumers’ knowledge and enjoyment of such a great beverage. Beer has something for everyone: science, art, history, great flavor and good times.”

The 2012 Harvest Beer Festival is proud to support the great work of the Chesapeake Bay Trust, a Maryland nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers. In 2011 the Trust awarded $5.2 million to fund wetlands restoration, living shorelines, oyster seeding, tree plantings, water quality monitoring, educational experiences, and other conservation projects.
