Warrant And Photo Obtained For Prescott

Neil Prescott of Crofton. Prescott has been detained under suspicion of carrying out a mass murder plot against his former employer.

Eye On Annapolis has obtained the Application for Search and Seizure Warrant issued in connection with the thwarted shooting reported earlier.

District Court Judge, C. Phillip Nichols signed the warrant yesterday authorizing law enforcement to take Neil E. Prescott into custody and to search his premises. The background investigation presented by the police was enough for the judge to allow the operation to continue. Judging from the list of items seized, it appears that the concerns were valid. According to the application, Prescott was the legally registered owner of 13 guns. However, according to the inventory, 15 were seized.

Prescott’s apartment at 1603 Parkridge Circle in Crofton, MD was raided at approximately 3:00am this morning and Prescott was taken into custody and transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation by Anne Arundel County Police.  According to Major Ed Bergin of the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Prescott was taken into custody without incident. Prince Georges County Police will be the entity to file charges if and when they are filed.

This story is still developing and more information will be published as it is available. The Prince Georges County Police Department is leading the investigation and will be releasing all information first on Twitter. You can follow them at @PGPDNews.
