Man Approaches Odenton Girl Twice. A young girl said she was approached twice in the Odenton area on Wednesday, Anne Arundel County officials said. On Wednesday at about 8:52 p.m., Anne Arundel County police officers responded to the 1200 block of Odenton Road for a report of a suspicious person. Officers spoke with a man who said that his 6-year-old daughter said she was in front of their residence when she was approached by a man.  The girl told her father that a white, four door vehicle with tinted windows stopped in front of the residence.

Operation Eagle Aimed At Distracted DriversAnne Arundel County Police Department will take aim at distracted drivers through its Operation Eagle program. Officers will enforce the primary offense of texting while driving during the four-month detail that begins Friday and ends in October. The goal of the operation is to reduce serious crashes while aiming to change the behaviors of drivers, police said.

Baltimore Water Main Break Could Block Streets For Days. A large water main break that gushed muddy water onto several streets in downtown Baltimore late Monday afternoon could affect traffic for days. Roads in and around Light and Lombard streets, where the break to a 20-inch line occurred shortly before 5 p.m., could remain shut down for days as crews complete emergency repairs.

Ray Rice Signs Contract Extension. The Baltimore Ravens have signed running back Ray Rice to a five-year contract, general manager/executive vice president Ozzie Newsome announced Monday afternoon. Rice visited the team’s facility and said he will address the new contract with media after spending time with his family and friends. This will likely take place when Rice reports to training camp next Wednesday (July 25).
