Police Seek Public’s Help Finding Shell Station RobberAnne Arundel County police are asking for the public’s help searching for an armed robber. Police said it happened at a Shell gas station at 8078 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena at 8:07 p.m. Saturday. The robber pulled out a gun and took money from the business before fleeing.

Linthicum Prostitution Sting Yields One Arrest. Authorities said a 22-year-old woman was arrested and charged following an undercover operation targeting prostitution at hotels in the Linthicum area. Detectives from the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Special Enforcement Section Vice Unit conducted the undercover operation after complaints of prostitution in the areas of Aero Drive and West Nursery Road.

Anne Arundel Police Make Prescription Fraud ArrestAnne Arundel County police said a woman was arrested while trying to perpetrate prescription fraud at a Glen Burnie pharmacy. Officers were called to a pharmacy in the 300 block of Hospital Drive at 11:45 a.m. June 27. Police learned a woman presented a stolen prescription to the pharmacist for 60 tablets of suspected oxycodone. Pharmacy personnel, in turn, contacted the police department to report the incident.

September 4th Trial Set For Anne Arundel County Executive Leopold. A judge has ruled that Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold must stand trial, rejecting his request to have the case thrown out. Retired Howard County Judge Dennis Sweeney ruled Monday that a jury trial will begin Sept. 4.
