UPDATE: According to WNAV, the accident victim was a 5-year BGE employee working on storm recovery efforts. From BGE, the initial reports indicate there was some sort of mechanical failure.
An accident involving an overturned bucket truck has closed inbound Route 665 in Annapolis this morning. From the Annapolis Police Department:
At 6:24am this morning Annapolis police officers were dispatched to an accident on Rt. 665 at Chinquapin Round Road. The accident involved a single vehicle, a bucket truck.
The driver and sole occupant of the bucket truck is being transported to Baltimore Shock Trauma with unknown injuries.
Currently, one lane of Rt. 665 is open to traffic leaving Annapolis. Heavy equipment is need to remove the bucket truck from the road. Rt. 665 may be closed for at least another hour. Please choose an alternative route.
According to WNAV’s Twitter feed, the road was not expected to be open until close to 9am.
@AnnapolisPD says that Rt. 665 at Chinquapin Round Road may be closed for another hour as they clean up the overturned utility truck.

We are not sure if this accident is related to the storm recovery efforts; but are awaiting a comment from BGE.
