Police: Man Sought After Trying To Lure Girl, 9.  Anne Arundel County police are searching for a man who they said tried to lure a 9-year-old girl on Tuesday afternoon. The victim told police she was walking along the 4400 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park around 3:45 p.m. when a man approached her and asked where she was going. The girl immediately ran home. Detectives said there’s no indication that the man tried to touch or grab her, but they said he also stopped the girl and asked her the same thing last week in the area of 5th Avenue and Morgan Road.

NWS Confirms 9 Tornadoes In Maryland.  The sounds of repair and recovery could be heard throughout parts of Maryland over the weekend after major storms ravaged the area on Friday.  The severe storms toppled trees into homes, caused flash flooding and knocked out power to tens of thousands. According to the Associated Press on Sunday, the National Weather Service confirmed that nine tornadoes touched down in six counties across Maryland.

Harford County Boy Fatally Shot By Brother.  An 8-year-old boy fatally shot his 11-year-old brother Saturday morning while the two played in a wooded area of Harford County.  Sheriff’s deputies said the two were playing in a wooded area in the 900 block of Old Pylesville Road in northern Harford County. Rescue crews were rendering aid by the time deputies arrived at the scene, where Michael Alexander Szoke, of Pylesville, was shot in the head.

Man Dead After Threatening Ex-Wife’s Husband.   A man who threatened to hurt his ex-wife’s husband is dead after a shooting at the woman’s Cecil County home, state police said. David Everson, 41, of Elkton, died from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest at about 11:30 p.m. Friday at the scene in the unit block of Vanderlyn Drive in Chesapeake City.
