Wrong-Way Crash On 97 Kills One, Injures Another. The Maryland State Police are investigating a wrong-way crash in Anne Arundel County that killed a person early Thursday morning. Troopers were called to reports of a collision about 1:30 a.m. along Interstate 97 in Millersville.Police said a driver was going the wrong way on the highway and hit another vehicle head-on.

BWI To Improve Security, Mobility Between Concourses.  Baltimore Washington Thurgood Marshall Airport is scheduled for security and mobility improvements between concourses. There’ll also be some changes to where people can shop and eat. BWI is one of the busiest airports in the country, with 22 million people flying in and out of it in 2011. “We’ve been very fortunate. We’ve had a record year in 2011. The first quarter of 2012, we have a record,” said Paul Wiedefeld, the executive director of BWI.

MD High Court Hears ‘Dream Act’ Referendum. Attorneys for an immigrant advocacy group are trying to convince Maryland’s highest court that a new law to provide college tuition breaks to illegal immigrants doesn’t belong on the ballot.  Opponents of the law have organized a petition drive to put the question before voters in November. But Joseph E. Sandler, a lawyer for Casa de Maryland, told the Maryland Court of Appeals on Tuesday that the Dream Act passed by state lawmakers last year is a spending bill and therefore cannot legally be subject to a referendum.
