Dad Reunited With Daughter, 12, After 8 Years Apart. A Maryland father who has worked for eight years to regain custody of his daughter after his estranged wife took her was finally reunited with the girl last week. Kyle Hogan, 43, of Hanover, was reunited with his now-12-year-old daughter at Newark International Airport on June 4.

Crews From Anne Arundel Help Battle 5-Alarm Fells Point Fire. Fire crews spent about nine hours Monday dousing hot spots from a five-alarm warehouse blaze in Baltimore’s popular Fells Point area, and smoke was seen through much of the downtown area. Crews were called to the 500 block of S. Broadway Street at about 1:40 p.m. Monday, where they were met with heavy smoke and fire shooting through the roof of a four-story vacant brick building.

Star Spangled Sailabration Includes Many Activities. There will be an assortment of entertaining activities during Star-Spangled Sailabration week. The week-long festival takes place from June 14 to 19 with a variety of events taking place by air, sea and land. Sailabration Village – Inner Harbor will feature live music concerts, street theater, children’s activities, cooking demonstrations, exhibits, sporting events, food, beer and wine.

UMD Students’ Clothes Taken While In Fountain.  University of Maryland campus police said thieves stole the clothes of female students who stripped down to their underwear to take a dip in a campus fountain. Police said a group of about 10 men and women took the clothes and other items, dropping the items as they walked to a campus garage Friday night.
