This Week In Volunteering

Many Volunteer positions are available through the Volunteer Center For Anne Arundel County. If you do not see an opportunity below that fits your needs, contact the Volunteer Center at [email protected] or 410-897-9207. Check our Website: www.VolunteerAnneArundel.org. A few current volunteer opportunities are listed below.

American Cancer Society

Outreach volunteers in AA County (and study participants) are being sought for a landmark, country-wide American Cancer Society Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3); the study needs 30-65 year old participants who have never been diagnosed with cancer and are willing to make a long-term commitment to complete surveys every two years.  We are seeking volunteers to help us promote CPS-3 to drive community participation during our open enrollment period June 10-16, 2012.  A strong network of outreach volunteers is needed to help spread the word about CPS-3 and to encourage enrollment to their family, friends and internal networks. Volunteers can be in any category of health or walk of life: cancer-free, cancer Survivors, avid fundraiser, or someone just wanting to make a difference. Anyone can help us get the word out and here is zero fundraising or selling involved in any way. All volunteers can promote participation from the comfort of their own laptops and homes. Tobecome an outreach volunteer, email[email protected],or call410-933-5178 (office) or 917-723-4116 (cell). Also lend your support by enrolling in the study if you are eligible at:http://CPS3AnneArundel.org to schedule your own enrollment appointment during CPS-3 Anne Arundel County’s Enrollment Week (June 10-16).
