Cisco Center To Reopen After Fire

| May 03, 2012, 04:31 PM | 0 Comments

It was February, 2010 when a fire ravished the premises of the Cisco Center for children with disabilities.  The fire broke out at night when no one was present, but the building was damaged, all the contents destroyed, and required a rebuild.

Ever since, the program has been temporarily housed in Millersville, while the Board of Directors has worked fiercely to raise $100,000, hired contractors, and obtained permits to move back to its original site on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Severna Park.

On May 20, from 3-5 pm, friends and supporters are invited to attend a Big Bash to celebrate the reopening.

The “new” facility sits on a lot almost an acre in size, with a playground and circular driveway outside.  Inside this homey facility is an entrance area with seating for guests, three classrooms, a therapy room for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy all on the first floor.  The second floor houses a conference room and workspace for staff and parents, as well as a classroom for older children.  For more information or tickets go to www.ciscocenter.org
