Man Arrested In Phylicia Barnes Murder. A year after the discovery of Phylicia Barnes’ body in the Susquehanna River, and 16 months after her disappearance, Baltimore police said officers have arrested a man in her death. Baltimore City police confirmed for 11 News that Michael Johnson, the ex-boyfriend of the victim’s older sister, has been arrested in Barnes’ death.

School System Says John Leopold Is Violating The Law. The Anne Arundel County school system is accussing the county executive of holding back money that should by law be earmarked for children. Local governments must pay the cost of education based on every single child. But Anne Arundel County government and the school system don’t seem to be moving closer to a solution, said 11 News education reporter Tim Tooten.

Woman, 19, Ejected In Route 100 Crash. Police in Anne Arundel County said a teenager was seriously injured Tuesday evening when she was ejected from her car during a crash. The incident happened about 8:15 p.m. on Route 100 near Arundel Mills Boulevard in Hanover.

Caps Eliminate Defending Champions, Bruins.  Once again, there will be no repeat winner of the Stanley Cup. The seventh-seeded Washington Capitals, getting a goal from Joel Ward 2:57 into overtime, knocked the defending-champion Bruins from the playoffs with a 2-1 Game 7 victory Wednesday night.
