Junior League Promotes Healthy Eating

With the goal to raise awareness and help reverse the growth of childhood obesity, Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. teaches children how to make healthy lifestyle choices through their Kids in the Kitchen program. This month, JLA will hold several family-friendly lessons and demonstrations at local events to engage healthy eating and snacking.

“During Kids in the Kitchen events, kids have fun making hands-on snacks and trying new foods, and parents learn proper food portions, new recipes, and a new way to teach their children how to prepare healthy snacks with a fun, interactive activity,” said Megan Esposito of JLA “This month, Annapolis residents will find our members whipping up tasty, nutritious snacks at the Annapolis Youth 5K, at a Chesapeake Children’s Museum evYour browser may not support display of this image.ent, and at St. Anne’s Family Fun Day!”
