Man Stabbed To Death In Pumphrey

On March 27, 2012, at approximately 5:48 p.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the 300 block of Berlin Avenue in the Pumphrey community for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located the 41-year-old male victim lying on the sidewalk suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper torso. Fire Department personnel transported the victim, identified as Romanda Lee Young, 41, of the 200 block of Bishop Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland, to Harbor Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation.

Through the investigation, consisting of witness interviews and evidence collected from the scene, it appears the victim was involved in an altercation with a male subject resulting in the victim being stabbed. The suspect subsequently fled the scene. Detectives have developed a person of interest and the incident is not believed to be a random act of violence.
