Leopold Seeks Volunteers For Odentown Town Center Oversite Committee

Seal of Anne Arundel County, Maryland

“Odenton has experienced tremendous growth over the last five years,” County Executive Leopold said.  “We expect to see even more growth as a result of the expansion of Fort George G. Meade and the National Security Agency.  The OTC Oversight Committee has an important role in ensuring that planning documents for West County are implemented.”

The Odenton Town Center Oversight Committee promotes the implementation of the Odenton Town Center Master Plan as well as other matters as requested by the Planning and Zoning Officer.  The Odenton Town Center Master Plan was adopted in 1995 and serves as the guide for development in West County.  The plan identifies where new roads and community facilities should be located as well as the type and intensity of future development in the sub-areas.  The Committee also assists with public outreach in the West County communities.

The OTC Oversight Committee meets the fourth Tuesday of each month. The deadline to apply is April 13, 2012.  For more information or to submit a resume’ contact Michael Fox with the Office of Planning and Zoning at 410-222-7453 or email: [email protected].
