The City of Annapolis, in cooperation with the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame, is seeking public agencies, cultural institutions, sports associations, service organizations, educational institutions, environmental organizations, neighborhood associations, sailing groups, etc., to participate in the First Annual Annapolis City Fair.

There will be no charge for the organizations and each group will need to bring their own tent. Non-profits will be able to fund-raise as permitted by City Code. There will be no for-profit venders allowed, including sale of food, beverages, arts and crafts.

The event will take place May 5 & 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, during the National Offshore One-Design Regatta.

“Many different threads run through the vibrant tapestry of life in Annapolis.  These threads reflect our community’s diverse interests, cultures and backgrounds,” Mayor Cohen said.  “I am delighted that, for the first time, we will have an Annapolis City Fair to showcase the many people and non-profit organizations that tend to this tapestry and help so many in our community.  I thank the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame for their initiative and partnership in coordinating this event with the City.”

“The NSHOF is pleased to join with the Mayor to host an event at City Dock which will celebrate who we are and what we do.” said NSHOF President Dick Franyo.
