Sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you are the bug. Anne Arundel County Police made a high value drug bust as a result of a routine traffic stop in Brooklyn Park. From the police report:
On February 15, 2012, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers from the Northern District conducted a traffic stop on a 2009 Ford Flex in Alley 7 off of Townsend Avenue in Brooklyn Park for a traffic violation. During the investigation, officers recovered a large amount of suspected marijuana from the vehicle along with a handgun. The driver was subsequently arrested.
In total, officers recovered approximately 7.8 pounds of suspected marijuana with an approximate street value of $45,000. The vehicle and handgun were also seized. The driver was charged with Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS, Possession of CDS paraphernalia and several firearm violations.
