Leopold Announces Community Connections Day

County Executive John R. Leopold invites citizens to attend the next Community Connections Day at Severna Park Middle School on March 8.

“Every year we try to give the public a chance to learn more about services provided by the County and access information about multiple agencies in one place,” County Executive Leopold said.  “Constituent service is about providing one-on-one access and an expeditious response.”

Community Connections Day and the Constituent Open House will be held on Thursday, March 8, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Severna Park Middle School.  Department Heads will be present to provide information and talk directly with citizens.

Participating departments and organizations include Planning & Zoning, Inspections & Permits, Social Services, Public Works, the Health Department, the Fire Department, the Police Department, Emergency Management, Recreation & Parks, Aging & Disabilities, Economic Development Corporation, Arundel Community Development Services, the Volunteer Center, Community Action Agency, Workforce Development Corporation and the Veterans’ Affairs Commission.

The County Executive will be present to engage in one-on-one conversations with constituents.  Constituents who want to speak with the County Executive can sign in upon their arrival and will meet with Mr. Leopold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Anyone who would like to discuss an individual concern should write to the County Executive in advance so staff can research the topic before the event.  You may contact County Executive Leopold at [email protected].
