Man Charged With Throwing Yorkie From Balcony. Police said a Baltimore County man is facing animal cruelty charges after he tossed a Yorkshire terrier from a balcony.County police said officers were called to Mill Centre Drive on Sunday evening after a woman saw a man walk out on a townhouse balcony and throw something. She investigated and discovered an injured Yorkshire terrier.Police spokeswoman Cathy Batton said a woman came out of the townhouse and collected the dog, which was taken to Falls Road Animal Hospital.
4 Injured In 2-Vehicle Annapolis Crash. A 12-year-old girl is in critical condition and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash at a Route 50 on-ramp in Annapolis on Monday night.The crash happened about 7:15 p.m. on Bestgate Road near the ramp for Route 50 westbound.Investigators said a Chevy pickup truck driven by Kurt Fisher, 26, was driving south on Bestgate Road when the driver of a van pulled into the intersection during a red light and into the path of the Chevy.
Annapolis Dog Survives After Swallowing 7-Inch Spoon. One omnivorous Maryland dog is lucky to be alive after he swallowed a spoon and it got stuck in his belly.Laurie Neomany, of Annapolis, said she noticed last week that her beloved Labrador retriever, Vincent, wasn’t eating and took him to the veterinarian. An X-ray found a 7-inch tablespoon had lodged in Vincent’s stomach and perforated it.Dr. W. Chase Coale III said he had to do surgery, and it was tough because Vincent’s spleen and intestines were gathered around the hole. Coale said it’s amazing that he’s alive.
