Rams Head On Stage Ranked Number One Venue

Rams Head On Stage, Annapolis’ own live music venue, has again secured the year-end ranking of #1 in the world of 500 and less capacity venues on Pollstar’s  top 100 Club Venues list, also attaining a remarkable ranking of 26th in the world overall

This year, Rams Head On Stage sold 91,709 tickets in 2011, a 5 percent increase over 2010’s 87,120 tickets sold. This amount puts Rams Head On Stage in the top 25 National Venues alongside St. Louis’ The Pageant and the acclaimed Starland Ballroom.

“I’ll admit it’s a little daunting to be ranked on a roster of all ‘clubs’ in the world on the Pollstar Club List,” says Kris Stevens, the club’s talent buyer since 1998, “but to hit 24th top selling room with a capacity of 308 is crazy cool! A huge thank you goes to the fantastic artists of all genres that grace our stage and the music lovers who return to our room time and again!”

Pollstar is the concert industry standard for box office information, business analysis, artist itineraries and up-to-the-minute industry news. Each quarter, concert venues across the globe report their ticket sales to Pollstar, which compiles the rankings based off of how many tickets each venue sells over the course of the calendar year.

The “Little Stage That Could,” Rams Head On Stage stands as a testament to the power of live music uniting artists and fans in utterly unique experience. And 2012 is already shaping up with an impressive list of upcoming shows featuring national performers, including Burton Cummings, America, Gretchen Parlato, Kevin Costner & Modern West, Aimee Mann, The Bacon Brothers, Phil Vassar, Cowboy Junkies and many more to come.
