More Celebrity Speakers Featured At This Years Home Expo

The 7th annual Annapolis Home and Remodeling Expo is a one-of-a-kind  homeowners event showcasing  products and services for the outside of the house, the inside of the house, and the people in the house. The Expo will run for two weekends,  February Feb. 18-19, and 25-26 from 10AM-6PM on Saturdays and 11AM-5PM on Sundays.

The Expo gives consumers a chance to participate in educational seminars with national and local celebrities on everything from landscaping, home improvement, antiques, gardening, and even dog training, and  to meet and discuss home improvement projects with the areas top companies. Over 90 companies will be on hand over the two weekends, showcasing products and services including  kitchen and bath displays, decking, fencing, countertops, tile, home energy systems, home financing,  landscaping, interior design, window treatments, roofing, waterproofing, heating and air and more.  This years show will feature solar and  green certified companies that can help homeowners improve the efficiency and affordability of operating their home.

This years event seminars include Billy Derian, from DIY’s Extra Yardage on Saturday Feb. 18 at 12 noon and 3PM to discuss how to turn outdoor space into livable outdoor space. Garden Editor Mike McGrath from WTOP radio will present seminars on Saturday Feb. 18 at 11AM and 2PM on gardening  and how to keep your yard looking fantastic while being environmentally friendly.  On Sunday Feb. 19, Dr. Lori returns to the show with presentations at 12 noon, 2PM, and 3PM. Dr. Lori, with a PHD in art history is the star antiques appraiser from the hit reality TV show Auction Kings on Discovery Channel, and she friendly on Saturday Feb. 18 at 11AM and 2PM will appraise guests antiques and collectibles at her “ What’s it Worth” program. There is a limit of just one item per person.  Guests are encouraged to arrive early since free appraisals are limited as part of Dr. Lori’s shows.   The Annapolis Home Magazine will also present a seminar on great house transformations of Annapolis on Sunday Feb. 19 at 1PM, and Saturday Feb. 25 at 1PM.

The hit HGTV show HOLMES INSPECTIONS will be coming to the show Sat. Feb. 25. Damon Bennett, general contractor will present seminars on home improvements at 12 noon and 3PM.  For those homes with dogs, we are proud to showcase Dr. Susie Homire on Saturday February 25th at 2PM with her program “ Helping Good Dogs give up Bad Habits”.

Tickets:  Adults $6.00, Kids 8-12 $5.00, available at the door.  Active and retired military pay only $4.00 per person.  One ticket is valid for both weekends.
