MainStreets Annapolis Partnership Helps Business Explore New Options

Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen invites local business owners to a seminar that will teach them how to promote Main Street as a shopping destination.

Business owners can explore how the Main Street program can support their business and how to achieve excellence in store/restaurant operations. The seminar hosted by the City of Annapolis and MainStreets Annapolis Partnership is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7 from 8:00- 9:30 a.m. at the O’Callaghan Hotel, 174 West Street, Annapolis.

Casey Willson of the Maryland Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will explain how to improve local business through the Anne Arundel County Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE).  Mr. Casey Willson has almost 40 years of experience helping small businesses refine and promote their concepts to the public.

One-on-one evaluations will also be available with Mr. Willson and Ms. Hollis Minor. Ms. Minor is the Business Consultant at SBDC.

Two Annapolis retailer/restaurateurs will be chosen for individual on-site evaluations and consultations. Mr. Willson and Ms. Minor will meet with the owners confidentially at their place of business after the seminar and discuss current performance, inventory, operations, marketing, etc. The selected business owners must be prepared with current financial statements.
