Annapolis Announces Spring Greenscape Planning

Join the community to celebrate two decades of making Annapolis a beautiful town! The City of Annapolis will host its annual spring GreenScape on Saturday, April 21. GreenScape is a volunteer effort that encourages and supports individuals and organizations to plant and maintain native gardens in public areas throughout the city.

An initiative now held for more than 20 years, GreenScape volunteers will cleanup and plant flowers and vegetables gardens in public spaces throughout the City. The City provides plant materials, mulch, trash bags and gloves; the community provides volunteers who want to make a difference in Annapolis.

Organizational meetings will be held on Wednesday, February 8, and Wednesday, March 7, at 7 p.m. at the “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center, Meeting Room 1, located at 273 Hilltop Lane in Annapolis.

If you are unable to attend the first meeting, you can download the order form from www.annapolis.gov in early February. Click on “Government” (top bar), go to “Forms, Permits and Licenses” (drop down) and continue down the page to the Recreation and Parks section. Complete the form and e-mail it to Marisa Wittlinger at [email protected]. For more information, please e-mail Marisa Wittlinger.
