Violent Night Near Local Bars

UPDATE 11:28AM 12/03/2011: From the Annapolis Fire Department. The two named individuals were transported to Shock Trauma, one by helicopter and the other by ground. There was a third victim who suffered minor injuries and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center.

UPDATE 10:24AM 12/03/2011: The Historic Annapolis Patch is reporting that the Annapolis fight broke out at 130 Dock Street.

UPDATE 09:05AM 12/03/2011: From the Annapolis Police Department:

On December 3, 2011 at 2 a.m. Annapolis police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Dock Street for a fight. Officers located two male victims outside; each had a single stab wound.  Both victims were transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. 

One victim is 22 year old Daniel Hawvermale of Sandy Spring.  Hawvermale has a single stab wound to the chest.  He is in critical but stable condition and his injuries are not considered life threatening.

The other victim is 21 year old Daniel Bichner of Mt. Airy.  Bichner has a single stab wound to the abdomen.  He is in critical but stable condition and his injuries are not considered life threatening.

The suspect is described as an African American male, 6’3”, medium to dark complexion, he was last seen wearing a black and blue striped shirt and blue jeans.  Officers are investigating the circumstances of the stabbing.  The weapon used is unknown.  Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Hipsky at 410-268-9000.

Early this morning, several people were sent to Shock Trauma with serious injuries sustained after fights outside of local bars. This story will be updated as details are released.

Coconut Joe’s

About 2:30am, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department was dispatched to Coconut Joe’s Hawaiian Bar & Grill in Edgewater for an assault with 2 people unconscious.  The injuris were deemed severe enough to transport them to Shock Trauma for treatment. One victim was combative and had to be transported by land, while the other was flown by Maryland State Police Helicopter. Details of the incident have not yet been released by the police, nor is the current condition of the victims known.

Downtown Annapolis

Just after 3:00am At 2:06am,  the Annapolis City Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to 2 Market Space, for a fight with multiple people stabbed. Two victims were transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.  The details of the incident, including any other injuries, have not been released by the police at this time. The conditions of any victims is not known.
