As long as Terrell Suggs continues to go harass opposing quarterbacks, and if defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano repeatedly finds the perfect blitzes to call, the Baltimore Ravens will keep on winning without Ray Lewis.Suggs had three sacks and forced three fumbles as part of an overwhelming defensive performance by the Ravens, who kept the Indianapolis Colts winless with a 24-10 victory Sunday.

Police: Terps Linebacker Seen Punching Cars. A University of Maryland linebacker has been charged with disorderly conduct after an officer spotted him ranting and punching cars, police said.University of Maryland police spokesman Capt. Marc Limansky said an officer came across Alex Twine early Friday behaving erratically, yelling and punching cars at a shopping center just off campus.The officer told the 18-year-old to stop, but he fled. Limansky said the officer chased Twine and arrested him. There were no reports of damage to cars.

MD Families Welcome Soldiers Home.  More than 150 families will have a little more reason to celebrate this holiday season.Military members serving in the Owings Mills-based 443rd Military Police Co. returned home this weekend from a yearlong deployment in Afghanistan.”It’s not just about the soldiers. The families go through the same thing. It’s great to reunite with everybody,” said Staff Sgt. Matthew Fast.

Traffic Stop Nets $79K In Smuggled Cigarettes. A traffic stop on the Eastern Shore turned up more than $79,000 worth of smuggled cigarettes.Troopers stopped Charles Davis Jr., 49, of Carteret, N.J., for erratic driving on Saturday near Berlin.During that stop, troopers said they noticed a strong smell of tobacco and a large number of cartons stashed in the car.A search of the vehicle turned up 1,300 untaxed cartons of cigarettes.The tax loss to the state is estimated at more than $26,000, state officials said.
