New Years Events In Annapolis

English: Independence Day fireworks, San Diego.

Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen invites everyone to come to Annapolis and welcome the New Year with friends and family!

On Saturday, December 31, City Dock will be bustling with activities under the Big Tent next to Susan Campbell Park. Beginning at 3:30 p.m., The Chesapeake Children’s Museum will be delighting children with incredible discoveries, while children of all ages will enjoy face-painting, a magician and balloon artist. Then at 7:30 p.m. the early fireworks show will take place.

Immediately following at 8:00 p.m. is Dance Under the Stars with Radio City Band. The sounds of the Big Band Era will get everyone dancing until the festivities conclude at midnight with fireworks filling the sky and delighting the expected crowd of 30,000.

You can catch the FREE Circulator trolley every 10 minutes anywhere along its route from Westgate Circle (Park Place) to Memorial Circle (Market House). It will operate from 6:30 a.m. Saturday through 2:30 a.m. Sunday to accommodate everyone celebrating downtown and attending the Annapolis New Year’s Eve Celebration.

Park at Knighton or Park Place garage for only $5:00. Enjoy the stress-free experience by parking at regular rates at one of these two garages and take the nostalgic trolley ride downtown, hopping on and off at any of the enticing locations along the route.

Event rates will be in effect at the Noah Hillman garage ($20) and Gott’s Court ($15) with free Circulator service.

Please remember, the Circulator trolley is not free from the Navy-Marine Crops Memorial Stadium. It will cost an additional $2 on top of what you pay to park at the stadium and will run infrequently, averaging every 30 minutes. For more information, go to www.annapolis.gov and click on Circulator.
