Everyone Can Serve: MLK Day In Annapolis

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., once said: “Everybody can be great because anybody can serve.”  The Volunteer Center For Anne Arundel County, Banneker-Douglass Museum and their partners invite you to the “Everyone Can Serve: MLK Day in Annapolis” on January 16th . Families and individual volunteers will have the opportunity to come together and volunteer for several nonprofit organizations at one central location, the Banneker-Douglass Museum, located at 84 Franklin St., Annapolis, MD 21401.

Make Martin Luther King, Jr. Day a “Day On, Not a Day Off” by participating in projects including helping with activities serving military families, people with disabilities, seniors, making school and family program materials for the Banneker-Douglass Museum, creating a community mosaic on the meaning of community and volunteering, and much more.

Join us for this event on Monday, January 16, 2012, from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., at the Banneker-Douglass Museum. “Everyone Can Serve” is a perfect opportunity for families of all shapes and sizes to give back to their community.
