Dominic Fragman Performing Live At Metropolitan

Beginning on Thursday December 15, Dominic Fragman and varying make ups of trios and quartets will be taking over the Metropolitan Kitchen and Lounge in downtown Annapolis from 6pm to 10pm.

Fragman studies music and drumming under legendary drummer, Paul F. Murphy.  His playing has landed him endorsements with Soultone Cymbals, Kickport and Wicked Chops.  After a ten month stint in a drum show produced by Brother Entertainment and Gaylord National in Washington, D.C., Fragman moved into a role performing and writing with country artist Courtlyn Carr. He produced her Turn Blue EP with Grammy winning engineer, Jim Robeson.  Carr and Fragman have performed with acts like Martina McBride, Little Big Town and Phil Vassar.

Fragman is also the production assistant on the latest release from Paul Murphy and Larry Willis, Foundations.  JazzTimes calls the disc a “hefty” statement that “dashes all doubt.” Accompanied by a four out of four star rating, Downbeat dubbed the record an innovative work of “formidable musicianship” showcasing “any and every type of possibility.” Fragman’s name can also be found among the pages of similar publications. He is a writer, contributor and reviewer for Oxford University Press’ Grove Dictionary of Music, JazzTimes and All About Jazz.

Fragman will host his band at the Thursday music series playing all the things you didn’t know you wanted to hear.

The Metropolitan Kitchen and Lounge is located at 169 West Street, Annapolis, MD.  www.metroploitanannapolis.com
