Shooting In Glen Burnie

UPDATE 11/14/2011 10:11AM: Anne Arundel County police have released the following information regarding the shooting in Glen Burnie:

On November 13, 2011, at approximately 10:34 p.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the parking lot of Mo’s Seafood located in the 7100 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie for a reported shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered the male victim outside on the parking lot. The victim was apparently shot in the upper torso and was subsequently transported via ambulance to Harbor Hospital by Fire Department personnel. While at the hospital, the victim died from his injuries. The victim has been identified as Andrew Michael Johnson, 25, of 134 Sloane Drive, Apartment #4 in Glen Burnie.

Homicide detectives responded and are actively investigating this case. Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was targeted in the incident and that this was not a random act of violence. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Detective Norval Cooper at 410-222-3453 or Metro Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.

UPDATE 11/14/2011 08:58AM:  We have confirmed the victim has died and this is now an active murder investigation. The Anne Arundel County Police have not released any details at this point.

Police and medical personnel are on the scene of a shooting at 7146 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.  This address is Mo’s Seafood Factory.  Condition of the victim and any information surrounding the shooting has not been released. Please check back for more information.
