Suspect Named In Glen Burnie Murder. Anne Arundel County police are investigating a fatal shooting outside a restaurant in Glen Burnie.Monday night, police said a warrant has been issued for Cornelius Keith Johnson, 24, of Baltimore. He faces a charge of first-degree murder, police said. Police were called about 10:30 p.m. Sunday to the parking lot of Mo’s Seafood in the 7100 block of Ritchie Highway.Officers said they found a man who had been shot in the upper torso. He was taken to Harbor Hospital, where he died.

Photos Released, Reward Offered In Glen Burnie Hit And Run. Police in Anne Arundel County hope new photos — and the offer of a hefty reward — will help them close a fatal hit-and-run case.James Schreiber, a tow truck operator with Ted’s Towing in Rosedale, was hit and killed in August after he answered a call for help in Glen Burnie. “It’s really been hard on the family and along with us here at Ted’s,” said co-worker Ronnie Brewer. “We think about it every single day when we’re out on the road now.”Schreiber had stopped just after 8 a.m. on Aug. 24 to help a sewage truck driver whose vehicle broke down on Maryland Route 100 near Oakwood Road. Police said a red Nissan Pathfinder hit Schreiber, who died at the scene.

MD Senator Pushes Bill Amide Penn State Case. In the wake of the Penn State University child sex abuse scandal, Maryland state Sen. Nancy Jacobs said she will again push a proposal to make it a crime to fail to report suspicions of sex crimes against children.State law already requires suspected cases of child sex abuse be reported to police and social services.But Jacobs’ bill would attach criminal penalties to anyone who doesn’t.The Harford County Republican senator pointed to what happened at Penn State as proof of the need for penalties.

Anne Arundel Student Reports Attempted Abduction. Police in Anne Arundel County are investigating the reported abduction attempt of a 15-year-old girl.The teen told police Monday morning that a man “grabbed her through the window frame of his vehicle” on White Oak Drive near Cedar Road in Severna Park.She said she broke free from the man and fled to Severna Park High School, where she is a student.The incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m. as the girl was walking to school, police said. She reported it about 9:50 a.m.
