Premier Annapolis Fringe Festival Rolls Out On West Street

Saturday, November 12 West Street puts on their Fringeface to kick-off the Inaugural Annapolis Fringe festival. A diverse, eclectic and wild array of art, entertainment and curiosities come alive at venues starting at Maryland Hall, to Westgate Circle and along West Street to Church Circle.

The 100% Family Friendly Fringe Festival is from noon until 7pm when Fringe After Dark kicks in and includes some entertainment geared towards a more adult audience.

Tickets to the Festival and Fringe after Dark are $18.00 per person with children under 12 free. Your ticket gets you into all Fringe Activities, day and night. You can purchase on-line at www.annapolisfringefest.com or in person at Maryland Hall during box office hours.

Family Friendly Fringe includes Stoop Stories, Face Painting, creating African Masks with Debbie Wood of the Children’s Museum and Hip Hop for kids – just to name a few. An array of art and installations will dress up storefront and be displayed throughout the Festival route. Do not miss Lee Andersen’s Fringe Fashion- specially made for Fringe and worn by our models. Yes, a dress made with Stella Artois Beers cans and another one with BankAnnapolis deposit slips!!! Chicago DJ School Red Dog Reunion featuring DJ Chunkabud, nationally acclaimed belly dancer Bagoas, Baltimore Burlesque, the Banana Monologues, clips from Local Film Producer Peri Lewnes and Sally Wern Comport gets creative on the street with Charlie with Canvas.

“Katie Balloons” will give you a whole new definition of balloon art. Food Fear Factor will tempt your taste buds and test your stomach. There’s plenty of parking and Russell’s e-cruzers will be on the street day and night offering complimentary rides. Take a break at our restaurants and bars, many offering a Fringe Special in addition to hosting Fringe performances and art. Adults can vote for the favorite Fringe Crazy Cocktail at participating retailers.

Annapolis Fringe Festival is presented by BankAnnapolis and co-sponsored by Stella Artois. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.
